Dr. Jeffery Harris, MD

Dr. Harris leads the medical team at Vertical Treatment Centers. He is board certified in Family Medicine by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons and has been focused on serving people with substance use disorders since 2013. Dr. Harris’s passion for helping the citizens of South Carolina with addiction has led him to build a team focused on a patient-centered approach to long term recovery. Dr. Harris played Division I Baseball at Louisiana State University and was part of two National Championship Teams. He enjoys coaching his kids, playing golf and fishing.

Melanie, NP

Melanie has been serving people with behavioral health and substance use disorders since 2011. Melanie joined the Vertical Treatment Centers team in March 2021. Melanie received her B.S. in Nursing from Clemson University and her M.S.N. in Adult Health from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is licensed by the State of South Carolina as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Outside of work, Melanie enjoys spending time with her four daughters, kickboxing, traveling, and animal rescue.

Cameron McClure, LPC

Cameron joined Vertical Treatment Centers in 2017, and now leads our Clinical Team. He is passionate about creating a judgement free, stigma free space for people facing substance use disorders. Cameron is license by the State of South Carolina Board of Counselors as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He received his BS in Psychology from North Greenville University, and his MA in Human Services – Marriage and Family Counseling and MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Cameron also enjoys spending time camping and traveling with his wife and 2 kids.

Clinical Counselor

Deborah, LAC, MAC, AADC

Deborah has been providing care to people facing substance use disorders since 2001. She joined Vertical Treatment Centers as a clinical counselor in 2022. Notably, Deborah has been surveying opioid treatment facilities and Behavior Health facilities as a CARF Program Surveyor since 2005, and is passionate about continuous improvement. Deborah is licensed by the State of South Carolina Board of Counselors as a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC). She received her B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation from Western Carolina University, and her M.A. in Counseling from Webster University.

Marlon, LPCA, AADC-IP

Marlon joined the Vertical Treatment Centers team in 2022 with 10 years of experience in the counseling field. Marlon has individual and group counseling experiences at a variety of counseling settings, including churches, counseling centers, consulting counseling services, and government entities. Marlon is licensed by the State of South Carolina Board of Counselors as a Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate (LPCA). Marlon received his B.S. in Business Management from Park University, and his MA in Counseling and Ed.D in Community Counselor and Trauma from Liberty University.

Jacquelyn, NCC, LPC

Jacki joined the Vertical Treatment Centers clinical team in 2022 with experience in individual and group counseling in correctional facilities and at a therapeutic boarding school. Before becoming a counselor, Jacki taught Visual Art to high school students in U.S., Canada, China, and Thailand, which has given her a unique multicultural perspective. Jacki is passionate about working with a team of like-minded colleagues to provide quality counseling techniques to her patients. Jacki is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and also licensed by the State of South Carolina Board of Counselors as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She received her BA in Art Education from Penn State University, and her MA in Mental Health Counseling from Palo Alto University.

Patrick Hogan

Patrick has led the team at Vertical Treatment Centers since 2019. Patrick is passionate about the potential impact of medication-assisted treatment when provided with high integrity. He has a background in pharmaceutical and pharmacogenetic testing sales, as well as 10 years of healthcare executive experience at AchieveMD, an ADHD clinic based in Greenville, South Carolina. Patrick played Division I Baseball at Clemson University, where he received his BA in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management. Patrick now enjoys coaching his son’s Little League baseball team and taxiing his 3 daughters around Greenville.

Mary Lansden Rees-Jones

Mary Lansden joined Vertical Treatment Centers in 2022. She has a background in strategy consulting, most recently with Bain & Company in New York, where she worked across a variety of industries, including media, consumer products, technology, and healthcare. Prior experience also includes ARCpoint Franchise Group, Karisimbi Business Partners (Africa-based consulting firm) and founding a coffee company in Eastern Congo. ML has a BA from Virginia in Economics and Religious Studies, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She loves cycling, running, rock climbing, painting, and dogs of all kinds.

Jamie hails from Southern California. She joined the team at Vertical Treatment Centers in 2022 with over 10 years of medical billing experience. Jamie enjoys helping patients understand and solve medical expense questions, ensuring that no patient at Vertical Treatment Centers feels alone when navigating the complex world of insurance expenses. She received her BA in Paralegal Studies from Platt College in Ontario. Jamie is a proud mother of three, loves Christmas, and enjoys camping with her family in the summer.

Kristen is a western North Carolina native that moved to the upstate in the fall of 2020. Within medical offices she has worked in various roles and specialties, but no matter what position she finds herself in she ultimately finds her purpose in helping others. She went to the University of North Carolina Asheville and studied psychology and art. She lives in Greenville with her partner and two black cats. In her spare time, she enjoys thrift shopping, reading, and various creative hobbies.

E’Lexus is a Beaufort SC native who moved to Greenville in 2020. She graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping on Amazon, discovering different restaurants, and traveling. E’Lexus services Vertical Treatment Centers as a Medical Receptionist to serve patients. She thrives on delivering remarkable patient care and she can anticipate needs and exceed expectations.

Born and raised in Greenwood, SC, Kaitlyn joined the team at Vertical Treatment Centers in 2022. Kaitlyn chose to work with Vertical Treatment Centers and felt she would be a good asset to the team given her background with substance abuse and mental health. Kaitlyn enjoys interacting with patients and making sure they feel welcomed and understood. When Kaitlyn isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time with her four dogs, visiting with family and watching anything true crime related. She loves to take beach trips and try new restaurants with her family.

A South Carolina native, Keyona joined VTC in 2022 to lead the front desk in Columbia. Keyona takes a service-focused approach when connecting with patients, has strong organizational skills, and is focused on accuracy in all she does. Her bubbly, energetic, and dedicated personality creates a warm, safe environment for patients. She is a pet mom to 3 cats and 2 dogs, enjoys personal time with loved ones, and loves being outdoors.
